Imal, you raised a good concern. This is our final purpose of the project, to help reduce staff turnover...

So let's pool in our ideas for this.

One of the main ways that this is possible is if we give the option for current trainees at the JKH training centre to work 3 months of voluntary work at this restaurant as community service. This will add value to their experience and social work by improving the living standards of people in the rural areas.

Also csr projects bring employees together and inspire them. This would motivate them to work better and increase their productivity which increases their turnover. A happy worker with a purpose driven life is always a good worker :)

What about the staff who are working currently? I feel they should also as theya part of current workforce.

I think the employee's could be given special recognition for being involved with this project. For example, if a staff member gets involved with the restaurant, their names can be put on plaques in the respective Jetwing hotel to give the employee a self esteem boost, thereby boosting his moral and reducing staff turnover as well as encouraging other employees to get invovled

I think the HR department needs to be more efficient with regard to staff turnover. Through effective training I believe this can be reduced. They could be trained properly which would give them job satisfaction. In addition, I read that the hospitality industry has the highest employee turn over rate. This is because of the slogan "the customer is always right". When this happens, the employees are bound to get frustrated. Therefore I think effective leadership should be rewarded and compensated for. Eg- the most friendliest employee should be given a free lunch coupon for two people at CC.
We should also allow a system for employees to give their feedback, which would make them feel more involved in the company.

Thanks for your feedback Eric. I agree.

Actually, hotel staff by law are not allowed to dine at the company they work for. So we can reward them in other ways, like a bonus or sponsoring a free external course of their liking to polish up their skills.

Employee feedback has been tackled by means of an employee blog in their website.
